How do you construct a grand estate home and make it look both luxurious and natural? By paying close attention to all the smallest details.
Working with one of California’s top architectural firms, Backen, Gillam & Kroeger, we built this 11,400 square foot estate on a 2.8-acre lot in central Woodside. The goal for the estate was to combine both elegantly crafted details with natural, aged materials. And probably the best example of this is the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that pocket into the walls when opened. These doors provide a seamless transition to the expansive outdoor spaces, including the artfully landscaped backyard and pool and the surrounding heritage oaks and redwoods that provide a dramatic accent to the home’s natural materials.
